LOVE THOSE RAINY DAYS!
When overwhelmed with editing corrections, we love the rainy days. At least we're not missing gorgeous weather.
Just got our proof back from the ePublisher and we're shocked at all the new errors they have made. It's challenging enough when we make our own mistakes, but when they, in their effort to help, create new ones, it's daunting. We had to reread the entire book...again. This time, for a new perspective, we read it backwards. Hey, it worked!
At least we're learning a great deal about the editing process and even somethings about the tech process. For example, any of you who are even thinking of going this route, one important point: If you use any Italicized fonts, be sure to overcompensate at the beginning and end of the sentence by adding an extra space. Somehow when we got the book back, anywhere we had Italics, there just was no space between words.
Why the Sake and Sushi photos? People need sustenance, right? And sustenance is a major part of our writing process, especially the Sake part. It releases those creative juices. Yup, this writing gig is definitely fun!

At Last: Our First Novel!
Available March 1st or Sooner
Kindle, IBooks, The Nook
We've committed our first murder and loved every minute of it!. Never realized how diabolical two women can be until they become partners in crime...legally. Yes, we spent long hours creating wonderful characters, only to either kill them off or make them into sinister murderers, and it was such fun. Hard work, yes, but great fun.
We sat at our computer with glasses of Shiraz and chocolate cake, laughing over our plots, our characters and even some of our sex scenes. There was never a moment of strife, that is, until the editing stage. Maybe that's because there are two of us. We highly recommend working with a partner because it all but eliminates the traditional writer's block. We'll discuss this and all aspects of writing a novel, in greater detail in the succeeding blog, since this is our first "get to know you" entry.
As we begin our next novel we will give you a blow by blow account of our travails. We have always said a video camera should have been trained on us throughout the process. This time, sharing with you will provide the accounting of some of the challenges, processes, and immense joy, not to mention the yummy snacks.
Please JOIN this site, and feel free to ask us anything you wish. If we can help, we will.
